A textured wallpaper is a wallpaper with relief-like surface or a specific structure. The structure can be embossed or stamped onto the material, but can also be caused by the material itself. Also possible is the piling of plastic materials or pastes. On these wallpapers, any imaginable pattern can be implemented, both symmetrical and asymmetrical. In monochrome models, the structural change and specificity stand out better, in the case of multi-coloured products especially the colour transitions are the visual key feature.

By applying a textured wallpaper, the walls of a room can get a three-dimensional effect and special patterns or colour gradients can be highlighted. Different interplays of light and shadow can make a room with a relief wallpaper appear even more lively or give it additional depth. Papering such wallpaper is the same as for conventional wallpapers. However, you should use a large and long roll and proceed without great pressure, so that the structure of the paper is not damaged.

What kinds of textured and embossed wallpaper are there?

An example for a structure wallpaper is the glass fibre wallpaper. Glass fibres are here woven to a very fine structure, which is extremely durable and tear-resistant and is particularly suitable for highly stressed areas. The structure-like surfaces of glass fibre wallpapers or non-woven wallpapers are formed either by foaming with a plastic material or by machine embossing of the structure on the non-woven wallpaper. The relief wallpaper is a special type on which the surface is modelled with a plastic mass which has an appealing touch. The material of the relief wallpaper is often thicker to medium weight, fixed and partially even wood-like paper. All structural wallpapers, for example non-woven wallpapers, textile wallpapers or glass fibre wallpapers, have their own advantages and disadvantages: You have the choice between finer and coarser, uniform and asymmetric, thick and thin and very durable wallpaper.
