Luigi Colani is one of the world’s most famous designers. He has received many awards for his designs and objects. He is regarded as a pioneer and founder of so-called bionics, whose central ideas are systematic learning from nature and its variety of shapes. The German designer has primarily gained fame with his particular aerodynamics, reflected in streamlined cars and aircrafts as well as with his innovative design of basic commodities and consumer goods such as ergonomic and beautiful computer mice and keyboards.
Luigi Colani’s talent and vocation is taking his visions and realizing their practical implementation. His trademark is white clothes - but this is more for practical reasons than a fashionable consideration: in his work, he is always in contact with gypsum and therefore knows how to always look well-maintained. Colani is now over 80 years old, but he is far from retiring.
As a cosmopolitan artists and active professor, Luigi Colani lives and works in Karlsruhe, Milan, and Shanghai. Since 2007, the works of the grand master of design also enrich the wallpaper market: the first Colani wallpapers were a wallpaper collection by Marburg with designs inspired by water. Today, the third Colani wallpaper collection is already available on the market - once again a successful cooperation with the renowned Marburg wallpaper factory.
COLANI WALLPAPER - WALLPAPER COLLECTION "VISIONS"
Colani loves streamlined shapes and has mastered them like no other. You can see this when looking at Colani Wallpapers: lines, shapes, and patterns are always flowing, organic, alive, and seemingly in motion. With "Visions," Colani and Marburg present the third collection of high-quality Colani wallpapers. Discover this beautifully designed, high-quality non-woven wallpaper in our wallpaper shop - be inspired by the colors, elegant design, three-dimensional, warm feel, and the high quality of the carrier material.
The Colani wallpaper collection "Visions" includes a total of fifty non-woven wallpapers in heavy Marburg quality. These include both colorful patterned wallpapers as well as plain, textured wallpapers. A typical element is the predominant Colani curves and smooth, curved shapes that remind us of leaves, bark, clouds, and water vortexes. The patterned wallpapers also entice with matt or shiny metallic surfaces and a very comforting feel, which will make you want to touch your wallpaper from time to time.
The colors of the Colani wallpapers are discreet, subtle, and clear such as, shimmering grey, steel blue, matt gold, or warm copper green. In textured wallpaper, the non-woven material has a noticeable relief that is plain in white, beige, or cream. With this choice of colors, you can then create your desired wallpaper and design expressive spaces for living, working, and relaxing.
SKILLFULLY ADD HIGH QUALITY NON-WOVEN WALLPAPER TO YOUR WALL
Non-woven wallpaper can be processed using the wall-pasting technique. First, prepare the wall; then paste the wall using a special non-woven wallpaper paste. The strips of wallpaper can be wallpapered directly from the roll to the wall - this saves space, time, and nerves. When you reach the end of the strip, you can simply cut the non-woven wallpaper with a cutter. It is recommended to cut the strips to length beforehand only when wallpapering the ceiling.
Remove old wallpaper from the wall before mounting a new one. Non-woven wallpaper is dry-strippable, while paper wallpaper must first be soaked and, if necessary, scratched to pull off wet or removed with a spatula. To quickly create a perfect base for non-woven wallpapers, you can use a lining paper. Then you only need to fill larger cracks or holes with filler. Minor unevenness spots are covered and evened out with the lining paper.
